My Scrap Chick Blog Hop

Welcome to our "My Scrap Chick!" Blog Hop!
This is a 2 Day Hop.
We are on Day 1!

There are only a few stops on this hop each day, and you are going to love the projects you see.

My Scrap Chick is giving away a
$20.00 GC

Silhouette Challenges will be giving away a
$15 My Scrap Chick GC

Just leave a comment on this post and each blog hop post for both days to be entered to win.

I am the 4th stop.
Here is the list of stops for day 1:

Here are my projects:

My littlest one is starting Kindergarten in just a few days, so I wanted to make him something special to ease the nerves.  I used the Pour Box file and filled it with one of his favorite candies, Skittles!  I used files from School Titles and School Days to decorate the outside of it.  I inked the edges of my cut piecing's, added some ribbon around the whole box and highlighted areas with a white gel pen.  The letters and the pencil are attached with foam pop dots to add dimension.

My second project is made using the Crayon Box. I love this simple and easy-to-put-together box!  I filled it with his other favorite candy, Sweeties!  To decorate the outside, I used the crayons from School Days.  Again, I used foam pop dots to add some dimension, a white gel pen for highlights, some ribbon and a few color coordinated buttons.  I like inking the edges of my paper piecing's too.

Both of these boxes are so simple to cut and piece together and can be decorated and embellished in so many creative ways!

Don't forget to stop back by tomorrow for
Day 2 of the Hop.

Have a Creative Day!
Kristin
